Security Has Photos Of Suspect Teen Arsonists

ADMINISTRATION DESK (012509.0908) -- Knowing that criminals almost always return to the scene of their crime, System Security stationed a special detail at Nor'wood Residence on Sunday, starting at 6 AM.

At 9:08 AM, three teen boys were recorded returning to the exact spot where the improvised incendiary device was ignited.  Also of note, was the fact that the area had a light blanket of snow cover, and was not immediately visible, unless one knew the exact location.

The suspects continued walking down Scott Parkway and down towards Frank Kown Park.

System Security is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the arsonists.  Contact us via this website, for more information.

Security Extinguishes Molotov Cocktail At Nor'wood Residence

ADMINISTRATION DESK (012409.2330) -- An improvised incendiary device, commonly known as a Molotov Cocktail, was extinguished by System Security in the cul-de-sac at Nor'wood Residence late Saturday night.  A trail of kerosene was within one yard of the Hummer H-3's front-end, as the device was extinguished.

A tip was called-in to System Security by one of Jenna's friends, who happened to be driving by, noting that there was a fire in her cul-de-sac.  He tried to extinguish the fire with water, going to a nearby friends house, but was unsuccessful.

Both Jenna and her friend will be paid a $100 reward from System Security -- great job!

The entire incident was captured on several of System Security's Video Surveillance Cameras, with the actual clips shown here.  Ironically, the surveillance system received an annual overhaul on Saturday afternoon, and the cameras were at peak operating performance.

At the scene, the device was correctly identified as a Type-B Fire Class and was extinguished using common play sand, in order to save the expense of replacing a fire extinguisher.

The device was a rather sophisticated petrol bomb contained in an energy drink container and placed on the center edge of the cul-de-sac and ignited.  Another larger orange juice container was found at the edge of the cul-de-sac and was 3/4 full of kerosene.    All evidence was confiscated by System Security.

At this time, at least one suspect is a young male believed to live in the neighborhood, who is not of age to drive a car.  The incident does not appear to be related to a possible threat of retaliatory action by a recently discharged coworker.
